Pataki stumps for Big Dan
District 19 race is bringing out some of the country’s blue chip Pols. Former Governor and Presidential candidate George Pataki made a serious cameo at the headquarters of Dan Halloran city councilman candidate. The atmosphere was electric. Belle blvd. was teeming and the gentry were overjoyed. Never have I seen such zeal for a local election.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I honestly think this recent spike in political involvement or activity has to do with the election of President Obama. Love him or hate him he makes you want to jump up and fight for your cause and this interest by the political elite is an example of that.
This Sunday at the Belle blvd. office of DanĀ Halloran a good friend of mine Marty Golden a Senator of district 22 is jumping on the Halloran Express. This seems so fitting Senator Golden and Dan are very similar creatures. Both are lifetime residents in their respective communities and fight like hell when somebody or some entity try to destroy the fabric of their neighborhoods something that as of late has been on the endangered species list.
Another interesting thing I noticed was the involvement of the local youth in the campaign. At their age they were only 2 things on my mind and I pledge to you neither were politics but I digress. It warms my heart knowing that people are awakening from their political slumber and becoming pro-active in the way government should be involved in their daily lives and if left unfettered they will absorb every element of our liberty if left unchecked.
Let this local race be symbol of what dedication and hard work can do for the community and the individual.
Sometimes we need government to protect ourselves from government and this race embodies those principles.
Let’s Roll Big Dan!

We spent the day campaign for Dan in the rain at Waldbaums on 35 Av and Bay Terrace Shopping Center and brought out smiles and hope to take our nighborhoods back. The challenge is to talk to as many good people as possible and overcome voter apathy and feelings of hopelessness on the part of the people who have slowly watched their nighborhoods, culture and American values being stolen from us, while gov’t gets bigger and more oppressive. The fight we are engaged in is a fight to put good men and women of integrity into public office to speak for us, fight against oppressive gov’t and protect our American way of life. But feelings of apathy that stem from decades of corruption and abuse by politicans pandering to special monied interests and cartering to voter whims and thus trashing their principles and core values that we elected them for. This is the challenge to convince the people to come out and vote and together we can get rid of the corrupt politicans and elect good men in their place like Dan to fight for us. When the people come out to vote and hold their elected officials feet to the fire then we will see our America restored.
