"Congressman Gary Ackerman of district 5 in his 14 term who has never had a true threat to his seat"

This is completely untrue. Ackerman had tough races in both 1992 and 1994. He won with 53% against Alan Binder in 1992 and 55% against Grant Lally in 1994.

Ackerman may well be vulnerable this year but saying he has never been challenged is just plain false.

Well Lisa if you really are involved you know full well the Tea Party is a big movement full of smaller organizations. Maybe Dan is being pushed by Tea Party 365. Maybe there is a rag tag group in Queens. The point is you probably wouldn't know it any better than the average person if he was in fact being urged to run by them.

Andy: I am curious to know what Tea Party people are pushing Halloran. You talk about the "Tea Party Factor" and state "...if you are picked to serve..." I belong to the Tea Party of Nassau/Queens and I do not recall supporting Halloran, nor asking him to run. That is not to say that I would or I wouldn't. My point is you throw around the Tea Party name as if Mr. Halloran has been endorsed by them and quite honestly, I do not believe that is the case. What say you?
