Sandy Storms Brooklyn

October 30th, 2012

Bay Ridge Brooklyn the most charming and wonderful mix of commercial industry and residential ethnicity that strikes a perfect balance of a busy Metropolis and a warm comfortable neighborhood that was on the ” To Do List” of the very merciless storm : Sandy. Signs and awnings ripped from their foundations, local businesses closed, no daily papers and an area on the verge of ” Cabin Fever ” as we try to make our way back out into the world only to be greeted with disasters such as this.

Compared to some of the other east coast areas ( Virginia, New Jersey and Connecticut) and even Battery Park City which was flooded and made the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel look like the Aqueducts of Rome we in Bay Ridge got off as very fortunate.
