I have always told myself even though I am a staunch Conservative never underestimate the stupidity of the GOP and its’ ability to blow a “Sure Thing”. In the wake of the Supreme Court’s awful precedent setting decision regarding the Affordable Care Act the Republicans were given a slowball grapefruit to hit outta the park! Did they do that? The run of the mill GOPers ?…yes but the Romney campaign?…NO They blew it! A staffer came out and actually supported the Administration’s statement saying that the individual mandate was a penalty and not a tax. Such idiocy. Then several days later Romney comes out himself and says that it IS a tax. All this because of his mandate in Mass. What a waste of a great opportunity. Obama was on his back and throat exposed and Romney pinched his cheek.

Looks like we have a very difficult election coming up. Never in the history of Presidential elections has a sitting President sat over such a miserable economy with such anemic job numbers and won a 2nd term. Yet our candidate is shaky when it comes to delivering the killing blow. I hope he will find his courage to take it to Obama the way he took it to Ted Kennedy during one of their very contentious Senatorial debates. He must charge him with character assasination and do it with conviction. Because after the slanderous attacks by the left and their propaganda machine none of these egregious charges stuck.

Romney is a solid citizen free of scandal with brilliant economic problem solving abilities who seems to me as Apolitical when it comes to ideology. His greatest talents could really help this nation I just hope he surrounds himself with better advisors because as a politician he is not one. Now that might be a good thing or bad thing either way Ol Mitt is all this nation in decline has right now to bring her back to her former glory. Bless this nation God we need you now more then ever.
