As the Conservatives struggle to look for the next Reagan due to the weak GOP field at large, many pundits and Conservatives turn to the Governor of New Jersey – Chris Christie. Chris Christie is renouned for his straight talking, no nonsense policies and actions. Yet, there are many sides to this monstrously popular enigma. Karl Rove, Ann Coulter, Charles Krauthammer and even Sean Hannity all staunch Conservatives in their own right are all pushing for Christie to join the race. On the surface, he looks like the man for the job. Once you get passed the initial layer of popular talking points and start to investigate some of his decisions and allies, especially when he was the U.S. attorney for New Jersey, you will realize Chris Christie is no Conservative.
During my battle with Cordoba House, the real estate developer of the Ground Zero Mosque, I remember quite vividly Chris Christie not responding to questions about the Ground Zero Mosque and where he stood on it. Instead he called the politicians “Panderers” and the electorate that were against the mosque “Crazies”. After that incident, I decided to do research on Christie and his ties to any Islamic leaders or community. My hunch had paid off. As a matter of fact, as a US attorney, Chris Christie fought the Department of Homeland Security in their quest to deport Mohammed Qatanani. Qatanani was an actual member of Hamas who had ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and was one of the leaders of the states largest mosques The Islamic Center of Passaic County.Very recently, the Ground Zero Mosque issue was brought back into the forefront and once again Chris Christie insulted citizens who were fighting against it.
Another dark cloud hanging over Christie would be his support of former Delaware senator Mike Castle. Castle was a big supporter of Cap and Trade. Again – exposing Christie and his “green” leanings. I believe once these facts hit the mainstream media, he will be excoriated by every card carrying Conservative in the nation and this euphoric presidential dance that he has been doing for the last month will come to a crashing end. And this fat man will not sing.
You know after seeing the ” Fonz” in a wife-beater shirt exposing the world to his sunken in chest and little Taylor Swift arms as he coined the ” Jumped the Shark” phrase and Happy Days faded into reruns it seems our President has hopped on his Vespa and decided to go for broke on a Class-Warfare rant.
Yeah lets spend more hundreds of billions, tax the Hell out out of the entities that ignite the economy, use Warren Buffett as his “Tax the Rich” poster boy( Who by the way owes the government over a billion dollars) seriously that is the truth. His motive as far as I can see is to appeal to his base that is fleeing at light speed as politicos talk of running a primary against the man who was going to lower sea levels , make the world love us and by shear force of will turn this country into his faculty lounge utopia that all the intelligentsia will worship his leadership and awesome oratory skills.
MMMMM lemme see when he went to Copenhagen to do a speech to solicit Chicago as an Olympic choice he was knocked out in the 1st round. Then there was the New Jersey Gov race that he supported Corzine …Chris Christie is now the Governor AND being recruited as a GOP hopeful for President. Then there was the Senate race in Mass. in the Special election to fill Ted Kennedy’s seat. Well the Republican Scott Brown won that one after Obama aggressively campaigned there. Not to mention the fact he took 18 months to pass a Health Care bill that his own party had to be bribed to vote through with super majorities in both Houses or the total failure of the Stimulus Bill that has been a monumental letdown as the unemployment levels continue to remain at the cusp of 10% and the economic growth has been abysmal.
His latest nonsense is nothing more then a way to blame the GOP for obstructing his insane fiscal remedy that is fraught with economic poison. His own party is talking about Hilary Clinton actually challenging him for a primary. He really is going for broke. He is now polling under 40% approval rating and he is sounding more and more like a desperate salesman who is fighting for his life and people are picking up on his attitude. I feel like he is mad at the country for the shape it’s in and blames anything and anyone for it.
My how far this man has fallen.
From a personal perspective I think we have come together as a nation and have on some level began a degree of healing. Of course we should never forget but at the same time it is time to move on and start looking at how we can as a citizen make some kind of contribution to the health of our country either in a economic, spiritual or patriotic sort of way. This means one thing….getting involved. Time to get off the couch and out from behind the computer put on your helmet and get in the game.
We do get the government we deserve and with that in mind we need to be very careful before we choose a candidate. Every day I do think about the love I lost and all the school-mates and co-workers who are no longer here but I must say this…We need to recognize Evil in all it’s forms and not make excuses for it. The menace of “Political Correctness” has infected all levels of our nations legislators. It is time for the public servants to actually SERVE US! Enough with all their self -serving agenda items. All we ask is for one thing- The Truth.
Because afterall don’t we do all of this for our children? Giving them the Freedoms and Liberties that were gifted to us not just through the grandfathering process but on some level fought for? It is the job of every generation to defend these freedoms and then hand them down to the next.

Almost 10 years ago 2 of this nation’s greatest symbols were laid to rubble. Icons of both economic power and freedom robbed from us along with nearly 3 thousand innocent lives. For many years the area languished in a state of bueaurocratic red tape and regulation. A giant crater with the ashes of Americans who were burned alive that awful day when Satan paid a visit to downtown Manhattan.
The only crime greater was the lack of activity and drive to rebuild the site back to it’s former glory. In a funny twist of faith it was our incompetent Attorney General who spurred the dormant site back to life. When the Obama Administration decided it was a good idea to – Protect those that attack us and to Attack those that protect us and put up then Speaker Pelosi to accuse CIA agents of lying to Congress about enhanced interrorgations ( Water-Boarding) concerning several of the 911 conspiritors I thought this was insane. Until of course Eric ( We are a nation of Cowards) Holder took it a step further and wanted to give Kahlid Sheik Mohammed Miranda rites AND try him at the scene of the crime : Downtown NYC.
Well I certainly was not allowing this no matter what. I then called all the union construction leaders together to talk about getting this thing rebuilt and create some jobs at the same time. I pointed out the fact that this animal would be on an international stage spewing his venom to the planet while all the jihadis in training use this moment to make themselves a martyr. In the meantime every news outlet in the world Al jazeera in particular would be pointing at the crater of death sending a message to our enemies that we are a beaten nation and ripe for another 911. This was enough to actually get their asses in gear and begin the work of WORK.
Now we are finally starting to see some growth in building and every political hack is coming out to collect some credit for it. None more so then Bloomberg and his disgraceful cronies. Our 3rd term mayoral horror rolls on as he now doesn’t even care when his Deputy Goldsmith is charged with domestic abuse resigns and pretty much gives us the finger as his response. I pray with the completion of these buildings we will be rid of this scurge of a Mayor and start to have some representitives who are part of the private sector and makes decisions as we do ….with maturity and common sense.

“She wanted to surprise you” . These were the words that were burned into my memory and my heart. A very good friend of mine called me after the 911 attacks to let me know the girl that I had fallen in love with when I was 14 years was gone.
Jody had gotten a great job with Cantor Fitzgerald. This was supposed to change her and her daughter’s life forever. That it did but not the way we all thought. I was vomiting and crying upon hearing the news. I felt a huge hole had been blown right through my heart. That magic smile that could disarm an army and light a city had been robbed from me and I was filled with both grief and rage.
Being told no remains were found I instantly made my way back to the carnage I escaped from earlier and joined the bucket brigade. This in some ways was even more horrifying then being there for the attacks themselves. Having to sift through the debris and rubble very often human remains from personal effects was brutal. After the end of each day I numbed myself with booze and pills. This behavior continued for weeks until I became so sick my family begged me to stop and return to what I do – Build. While walking home along the barren West Side Highway( which was such a sureal experience in itself) people were coming up to me and telling me : “Thank you and God Bless you” ” Build our city back up again sir”! An older woman with a weatherbeaten Celtic cap on approached me and began to wipe all the ash and dirt off my face. I looked into her sparkling ice blue eyes that did not match up with her senior citizen stature and she said ” This is not for you son- you will find your healing in the rebuilding”. My nose had stopped bleeding and suddenly my throat started to feel normal again. She had pressed a ziplock bag into my hands turned and disappeared into the crowd. A feeling of serenity poured all over me. Her scent reminded me of my grandmother. When I looked at the bag it was filled with Oreos. My favorite cookie in the world. When I returned home there was a message to begin work at the Winter Garden. I didn’t drink that night …in fact I never slept so soundly. During my deep sleep Jody had come to me in a dream. I was in a car and she began walking towards me. Her face and body badly burned but the closer she got the more she healed. She opened the passenger side of the car and got in at which point she was glowing. All the burns gone replaced by her stunning physical beauty. I was floored…I knew I was in a dream but knew still she needed to come see me and put me at peace. With that she smiled that smile that could slay an army and took me by the hands and told me…” Andy it’s beautiful everything will be fine I can feel your love it comes with us”. She kissed my forehead and disappeared.
As I look back at that time I am racked with grief , guilt and helplessness. My Jody saw me on the edge of self destruction and pulled me back. Today I am an active member of the political community and have fought the good fight when it came to rebuilding Ground Zero protesting the KSM Trials and the Ground Zero Mosque. I have learned the most effective way of executing these goals is from the inside. That means running for office. I came very close to be being picked for the District 9 Special Election but it was not meant to be but with 2012 approaching I will be looking at some primaries locally and intend on letting the people decide. Hope I keep things interesting.
