What a turnout! It was easily in the hundreds of thousands and the people just kept on coming. There I was with my kids, girlfriend and a very nervous dog who was continually being hydrated by people we did not know. Such a wonderful gathering with a trifecta of faith, family and country that I have never before experinced. Back in my twisted mind I wondered what would happen if Rev. Al and his opposing rally would have come marching through what would have been the outcome? I believe the answer would be he would have been welcomed with open arms. He missed out on a golden opportunity to truly pay homage to Martin Luther King.

The true star I believe was this dear woman who spoke about her son in special forces who loved his country and was so very proud to serve and the awful news she had to tell her grandson about his Daddy’s plane being broke and how he might not make it home. The lump I got in my throat was throbbing as the child ran upstairs to get his toy toolkit so he could fix his Daddy’s plane and he could come home. It is at moments like that you realize just how blessed we are and how we should get down on our knees and thank our creator for all he has given us in particular this great nation who is constantly under attack either from punks with exploding shoes or underwear or fools with SUV’s that don’t go BOOM. Now it seems the field of play has moved to a more stealth-like arena. It takes the form of crooked politicians with personal gain on their mind or a Media that has completely sold out to the left. The new term that is being used is called Lawfare. Using our own laws and freedoms against us with the sole purpose of controlling our daily lives. ” This American system of government will work as long as the politicians do not discover that they can bribe the electorate with their own money.”

On August 28th, Blue Collar Corner attended Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. The rally was held to unite the American people, honor our troops and applaud the generous work of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation who for 30 years has provided fully paid higher education to the surviving children of the the military’s special operation forces.

On August 28, 1963, 47 years earlier, Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech at the very same location. Critics cried blasphemy and supporters hailed it as a commeration of the historic event. Maybe the critics need a history lesson. The Liberal Media should take note of Martin Luther King Jr.’s closing paragraph of his “I Have a Dream” speech: “When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual “Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!” The message was clear 47 years ago just as it was during the Restoring Honor rally. Glenn Beck’s rally was not a race issue or a political playground where rhetoric was thrown around like childish insults. This rally was a genuine attempt to bridge the gap on all differences. The Liberal Media’s attempt to prevent that is almost as oppressive as supporting segregation 47 years earlier. MSNBC reported “Beck and tea party champion Sarah Palin appealed Saturday to a vast, predominately white crowd.” I’m sorry, wasn’t there something mentioned about all of God’s children? But, who knows more than God besides the Liberal Media?

Since Blue Collar Corner is providing history lessons, how about we discuss math? Not since the conundrum of estimating how many jelly beans in a jar have we seen the gross miscalculations on the rally’s crowd attendance.

CBS News actually hired a company, AirPhotosLive.com to estimate the rally attendees. The company’s findings were estimated at 87,000 people with a margin of error of 9,000 raising the total between 78,000 – 96,000.

The New York Times reported that the “rally drew conservative throngs” but no actual number.

NBC, CNN, USA Today, BBC, MSNBC, ABC and Reuters all threw in their hats at tens of thousands or plainly just thousands.

I was there. People lined the steps of the Lincoln Memorial down to the Washington Monument. Entire families were there.

Fox News estimated the crowd to be over 500,000. Some reports even stated high as 1 million attended. However, Glenn Beck stated it the best at the rally when he said “I have just gotten word from the media that there are over 1,000 people here today.”

President Obama weighed in on the event by stating in the Washington Post “It’s not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country.” Leave it to Barry to alienate and condescend to the American people. Keep on doing this Mr. President, and I can guarantee that you will be voted out just as fast as you were voted in. Lets just hope that the hundreds of thousands who attended this rally agree and send Obama back to Illinois.

First off I want to thank all of you great patriots who have signed on and taken the 911 Hard Hat Pledge. Your response has been humbling and has restored my faith in humanity and in the greatness of this Nation. As much as this Administration wants to run her down my fellow Americans refuse to cave.

There is not a country on earth that I would rather raise my children in. They are the lights of my life and the United States is the cradle of Freedom and Humanity. Stay strong we are winning. Every day the list increases and public opinion goes our way. We cannot falter for if we do then what’s next? Before you know it the Terror Trials will be here as the World Media mocks us for our weakness for not rebuilding the Trade Center after almost a decade ( talk about a recruiting tool) if I were young Jihadist in training I couldn’t think of a more tempting target. Then the “Ruling Class” will at that point know there is no limit to what they can do to us.

This Mosque issue is so many things. This is when America took a stand and declared ” Enough is Enough” to the Ruling Class. Your Stimulus did nothing except stimulate unemployment, our Health Care bill has already increased the cost to the largest companies in the country which will be felt in our wallets and the job market. The attack against Arizona was despicable and to make matters even more reprehensible is bringing other world leaders here and giving them the pulpit to attack our laws and our way of life and then receive a standing ovation by the Democrats. Pathetic. Stand strong America. As I stood at the Grand Staircase in the Winter Garden after we completed a 4 month renovation after the 911 attacks, Bloomberg promised us construction workers who were drained after 12hr shift work 7 days a week  all the while having to look at the pit of death where all our loved ones lay that we would be whole again. Would I ever have dreamed at that moment we would be talking about putting a Mosque on the ashes of our loved ones only 9 years later? God no but here we are.

This voting cycle will be a telling one. We must beat this narritive back and start returning to the America that we grew up in. It only takes one generation to lose our freedoms. I knew it! He couldn’t resist. He had to put his 2 cents in on the Ground Zero Mosque issue. Once again he acted in haste and didn’t think this one through. The entire country is 70% to 30 %  against this distasteful Mosque. ‘Ol Barry flaps his gums cause he can’t stand someone else steeling his thunder and now his party is freaking out because they have to deal with the fallout.

This Imam Rauff ain’t no Genie in a bottle. He is one bad man. Between things he has written about an America being Sharia compliant and the shocking comments days after 911 on 60 minutes  and about the United States being an accessory to the crime. For all intents and purposes Bin Laden was made in America.  This is the man to unite us ? How? For the last several weeks Rauff has been globe trotting on the State Department’s dime which of course means you and I are paying for it doing some mock ” Good Will Tour” to show other Muslim nations how to “Bridge-Build with the West. Translation: Raising money for the GZM from the most savage nefarious terrorists groups on earth.

Well not even the “Moderate Democrats”  believe that – if there is such a creature and they’re begging for Barry to backtrack his total support of the Mosque because they have elections coming. Just like a good little small weak leader he tries to put Pandora back in her box. ” I was for the Mosque until I was against the Mosque.”

The Mainstream Media fails the Blue Collar Community again. There are finding remains at Ground Zero every day and there is barely a blurb about it anywhere. The only reason I know about it was from my friend Sean who is an iron worker. My fellow Americans the Dead are talking to us! This is not some coincidence. The Media will not report it because it only reminds everyone that  thousands of innocent people were slaughtered that dark day. Well we certainly will heed their calling and make sure this blasphemous structure is never built and to all who have pledged God bless you and your families.

I was not prepared for the passionate response from our military. They are saying things like” What the Hell am I doing in 120 degree heat carrying 40 pounds of equipment and risking my life while the people at home whose freedoms I’m fighting for are allowing this sacrilege to happen”? I don’t know how to respond at first but then at the end of the message he thanks all the good citizens who have made the pledge to stand strong and refuse to contribute to this effort in any way at all.

In almost all of your comments you include God either being with me or blessing me and that I treasure. It’s through Him that we will be victorious. I am worn down to the nub trying to do everything as far as organizing but thanks to the Man upstairs he has been putting people in my life to help and they have been wonderful.

Fox and Friends have truly been a friend to Blue Collar Corner. Thanks to their help letting me put my ugly mug on the T.V. it has generated enormous exposure and attention for a mission that I am completely dedicated to. The letters and comments I have been receiving have moved me like nothing before in my life.

People like Debra Burlingame who has been a huge inspiration to me with her tireless effort of dogging down these very shady characters and their covert ways.

Having Tim Brown on the team is a huge gift. He brings the true essence of the Blue Collar mentality that middle America can totally identify with. Being a advocate for his fellow Firefighters he has brought on board Sam Nunberg of the ACLJ ( American Center for Law and  Justice ) who is fighting this Mosque from a legal perspective and is confident he will be victorious.

Pam Gellar who is the leader of SIOA ( Stop the Islamisation of America) Pam is well schooled on the Koran and the history and traditions of Islam and has been about awareness and about halting this Sharia Law political system into our Constitutionally based government which runs in complete contrast of Sharia.

We do have some support from our political leaders ( Rick Lazio, Peter King and Mike Huckabee) all of which we totally appreciate and look forward to paying them back in the way of votes. The good people at FOX News invited me to speak on the subject of our “911 Hard Hat Pledge”. Well I certainly was not prepared for the reaction I got which was explosive! Tens of thousands of hits and comments on the Blue Collar Corner site. The comments that were left were extremely moving. Things like : I am not a blue collar worker but I run a paper plant in Iowa and all of us at the plant support you and all New Yorkers in your pledge. Civil servants from out of state who participated in the clean-up nearly a decade ago were elated to hear that there has been a movement started to appeal directly to the Imam and his group in hopes that it would not come to a Boycott across the country which is exactly where this is going.

Some of the most moving comments as always come from the mothers and fathers of firemen and police officers who perished that awful day who live their lives as if 911 was a day away and not almost ten years. To my fellow American Blue Collars and beyond I personally thank you and want to let you know I am incredibly humbled by your generosity and commitment to The 911 Hard Hat Pledge.

I work in New York City everyday and know that the people here are some of the most wonderful human beings I have had the pleasure to meet. The one group I’m most familiar with of course is my fellow Blue Collar Hard Hats who continue to surprise me with their love of country and dedication to human decency.

My appeal right now is to Imam Feisal Rauff and Daisy Khan who are the leaders of this project. My fellow New Yorkers: Please do not do this. Move this projected building site and New Yorkers will open up their hearts and give you their full support from both the community and from the construction industry. I know right now they are some damning accusations coming out against you but I have spoken to some of your worshippers at Park Place and they seem like the salt of the earth and a lot of them agree it is just too close to our sacred ground to build such a Mosque. I beg of Mr. Rauff be the leader that God chose you to be and I will build you a Mosque that will be the envy of the entire world.

At 6:20 am on Wed. August 11th FOX will once again have me on as I plead to the Imam Rauff and his group to move this structure. I hope and pray that he complies without it coming to this nation -wide Boycott of Goods and Services to his Mosque. Stay tuned things are starting to get very interesting.

We feel we have been betrayed by our civic leaders and elected officials as they allow the Cordoba Initiative Group build their Mega-Mosque on top of the ashes of the 3,ooo innocents who were slaughtered on 911.

My fellow Americans stand together and pledge not to work this hurtful insensitive project. Without us this sacrilige cannot be built. Let us show the younger generation what it is to be a proud American and defend those brave souls who now lie in a pit at Ground Zero unable to speak because their light was snuffed out by the worst attack in our nation’s history. Together we will achieve this.

People of Islam show us your love and tolerance and peaceful nature and in the spirit of bridge-building relocate this Mosque. Do this and we will applaud you and build you a Mosque all could be proud of. All we ask is you do not put it on the gravesite of our loved ones.

Well no mystery here the fix was definately in. The Landmark Commission could not find any significance about a building that has been on the docket for over 20 years with it’s Italian style steel structure that was actually struck by a piece of the landing gear from terrorist Atta’s plane that was responsible for bringing down 1 of the 2 Twin Towers. The owner of the building Gemal was told at the sale of the building that they would not be a problem with the Landmark Commission and boy was he right. They behaved like good little puppets doing the Mayor’s dirty work and in process ripping open old hurtful wounds that were still very tender even after nearly a decade of healing. One pathetic member thought he was witty commenting during his testimony that he would love to even Landmark the sky but it was not their job to judge structures based on emotions and how 911 didn’t have enough credence to give it the protection of landmark status. Unbelievable. As they voted 9 to Zero and they were faint claps of support I couldn’t help it and yelled out to them ” Excuse me commissioners has anyone up on that panel lost a family member or loved one on 911″!  ” This is a disgrace! Turn around and look into those cameras and apologize to those 3 thousand families who are suffering right now. Go to tell your Mayor you did his dirty work.”

Of course you still have to remind these people that we are still at war based on the tenents of this religion and there already is over 200 Mosques in New York alone. Once again former Congressman and candidate for Governor Rick Lazio was on the right side of the issue. He was one of the first politicians to stand up against the Terror Trials and bringing them to Downtown NYC and he was again one of the very few standing with us now. His opponent Andrew Cuomo is lock step with our 3 termer Mayor who is coming apart at the seams politically. Rick is challenging our Attorney General to investigate the funding of this project but he refuses to even bring up the topic with the very controversial Imam Rauff who refuses to condem groups like Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood as Terrorist organizations with the fear his funding for this cursed Mosque will dry up.

As I was outside Pace University looking at this great statue of Ben Franklin I wondered what our founding fathers would think of our predicaments we face today.

Well they are still going to need labor and permits to build anything and here in New York that means Unions. We all know our union leadership is constantly up for sale that’s why I think it will be the rank and file that stops this project. It was us that day running for our lives and hiding under cars and doorways as our great Towers collapsed. It was us pulling people and remains out of the rubble and carnage. It was us rebuilding the destroyed Winter Garden months afterwards as we watched the Ground Zero site smoke and fill our lungs with God knows what.

They are too many good and smart people behind the halting of this project and I refuse to believe that this building will happen.
