I can sum up 2009 in a simple phrase” I told you so” all the academics and pseudo-intellects who thought our completely unknown and inexperienced President would lead us to a new age in politics, racial harmony, world peace and prosperity have a little more than egg on their collective faces.

From an economic standpoint 2010 looks abysmal. Commercial Real Estate will be the next bubble to burst. It will make the residential market plunge look like a speed bump. Experts keep telling everyone about this so-called jobless recovery (winner of biggest oxymoron of 2009) yet coming from the construction field I’m here to tell you watch out the worst is yet to come. Haven’t the “experts “got it yet? If you want to know which way the economy is going look at construction. Check out the Building Department and see how many permits have been filed. If you did you will see a drop off of apocalyptic measures and as the saying goes if you ain’t building or growing you are dying.

Sounds bleak I know but I am an optimist at heart and there always is an X factor that can come in and change the game like nothing else. For me it’s God my guy has a great sense of humor and irony and I can never put anything by the Big Guy. Too many times in life I thought all was lost only to be blown away by yet another divine intervention just when I needed it most.

To all the Stepford Obamabots I hope your Community Organizer learns from his many mistakes and changes course on the important issues like Bill Clinton did after his disastrous first year as President. I truly hope a year from now I am writing a positive blog about the 180 degree about face the President did and how we are now on a path to peace, harmony and economic growth but only time will tell.
