Another Big Dog for Dan

It’s very interesting how much attention this campaign is getting considering the level of government ( councilman ) but don’t tell any of his supporters that. To them this might as well be for the President of the United States of America.

Another heavyweight politician came out today district 22 Senator Marty Golden. Now I have a soft spot in my heart for Senator Golden he presides over my old stomping ground in Bay Ridge Brooklyn and out there he’s just Marty. He came into the headquarters of Dan Halloran and lit the place up. Ginning up the crowd into a fever pitch with good conservative principals something that the republican party sometimes seem to bend on but not on that Bayside office. Conservatism is alive and well on 43rd ave. and Belle blvd. Included among them were Thomas Long Queens leader of the conservative party Megan of the St. John’s Young Republican Party and niece  Cassidy and nephew Liam whom call Dan uncle.

What a warm wonderful feeling at the rally but it really had more of a family – block party feel to it where everyone was family and you were a stranger here but once. One supporter who stood out amongst the crowd was a fella named Phil. A real patriot someone who’s been there since the beginning. Rain or shine out there stumping giving out pamphlets and e-mails and phone calls total selflessness all on his own time for a man many have put faith in and in my estimate deservedly so.

There is something else taking place here and this race is transcending beyond the level of councilman and is tapping into that same feeling I got from the Tea Party protests and the D.C. 912 project. The silent majority are no more watch out Kevin Kim a slick democratic machine is no match for heart something Big Dan and his supporters have in spades.

I was at the endorsement today. Your right, I got that comfortable welcoming feeling there.

Dan is a real good guy. Kevin Kim just moved to the district and cast his first vote for himself in the primaries. I hope Dan wins. Kevin Kim doesn’t care about the neighborhood the way Dan does.

Marty Golden is just straight up awesome. His speech was so on the money!

I am a republican who was there in behalf of the support of another republican who represents the concerns of our communities and especially healthcare since i am now approaching the goldens years of my life. My husband is a retired officer and most of all a Viet Nam Marine who is now a Commandant at the North Shore Queens Detachment 240. On August 7 2001 right after retiremnet he had a major heart attach which left him with the left side of his heart and only surving with a pace maker defibulator for the last eight years. On March 10 2009 right after the closures of our three queens hospitals he had devloped Mercer deadly blood borne staff infection and outside my Middle Village apartment he was dying in NYFD Ambulance. We now had to be deverted to NSFH instead of NS of Manhassett. Disaster my husband and I unknown to us was now approaching because the emergency room was packed and ambulances were backed up two blocks to Queens Blvd. This situation was not the fault of NSFH because they did the best they could under the devastating conditions on that particular day. Nine days later intensive care stated to my husband and myself that no one ever survived another heart attack, main organs shutting down and walked out of their hospital with those grave odds. Those hospitals are still standing and very much vacant. Healthcare on many levels are of the utmost importance to all our commun ities. If this is not resolved then I have to relocated to nassau district where I am guaranteed the care my family deserves and especially a Marine who fought for our wonderful freedom. A concerned Republican.
